EICMA Milan 2025

The world’s largest motorcycle show, EICMA 2025, has officially begun at Fiera Milano, Italy, running from November 4th to 9th. This year’s event promises an exhilarating mix of brand-new models, innovative concepts, and bold steps forward in electric and adventure motorcycles. Manufacturers from all corners of the globe have descended on Milan, making the city the epicenter of the motorcycle world once again.

Big Adventure News:

  • Yamaha Tenere 700: Finally receives a major refresh! New style, improved electronics and suspension. Riders in the US and EU can look forward to ride-by-wire throttle, two selectable throttle maps, traction control, three-way selectable ABS, and a new 6.3-inch full-color TFT dash. The revamped suspension includes a user-friendly preload knob right on the fork.
  • KTM 390 Adventure R: This off-road-focused model is 99% new, not just a minor update. It’s built on a new platform with 9.1 inches (231 mm) of suspension travel and 10.2 inches (259 mm) of ground clearance, rally-inspired styling, adjustable WP suspension, and a premium 5-inch TFT display.
  • BMW F 450 GS: The compact parallel twin F 450 GS enters production, offering competitive power-to-weight (48 hp, 175 kg/386 lbs), and production-ready status confirmed for 2025. Unlike direct rivals, the 450 GS opts for a 19-inch front wheel, balancing road and dirt prowess.

Electrification & Urban Mobility:

  • Royal Enfield Flying Flea FF.S6: Steals the show with a scrambler-styled electric motorcycle, combining classic aesthetics with modern tech—like USD front forks and a distinctive magnesium battery case.
  • Honda EV Concepts: Honda introduces the “EV Fun” (a middleweight naked electric with over 100 km range) and “EV Urban” concepts, highlighting the growing importance of e-mobility for city riders.

Dual Sport and Rally Upgrades:

  • Suzuki DRZ4S: The legendary DRZ400 gets a complete overhaul after a long wait. Now fuel-injected, higher revving, with ride-by-wire, three ride modes, selectable ABS, and electronic traction control. The frame and suspension (KYB, fully adjustable) are all-new, making it a tempting option for enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic.
  • Aprilia Tuareg Rally: New ‘factory rally’ look with serious upgrades—high-spec components, an aluminum skid plate, metal handguards, stronger Ergal rims, and revised suspension for rugged off-road performance.

Electric Off-Roaders Turn Street-Legal:

  • KTM Freeride E & Husqvarna Pioneer: Powerful, longer-lasting, and now street-legal. KTM’s redesigned Freeride E and Husqvarna’s Pioneer offer torquey motors (37 Nm) and battery swaps in under 10 minutes. Expect 2-3 hours of off-road range per charge.

What’s Different in 2025?

  • Smaller bikes, bigger expectations. The rise of lightweight, full-sized adventure and dual-sport motorcycles shows that riders want more options for agility and fun, not just high-end flagships.
  • Electronic aids everywhere. From the new Tenere 700 to the Suzuki DRZ4S, dashboards are colorful and riding modes are smarter—embracing digital tech whether you like it or not.
  • Electric models grab attention. Urban and adventure e-motorcycles are no longer novelties—they’re center stage alongside combustion icons.
